The Living Furniture Series Vol.1

The pandemic has once again shown that human beings cannot exist without nature. We design this furniture series to bring the natural world inside, incorporating functional planters into the design. That’s why we believe that we need to design everything in relation to function and also the environment.

In this project, we aim to design furniture that allows co-existence between different species which is also called biophilic design. In this “Living Furniture Series,” we will investigate design possibilities that allow this concept.

The pieces are crafted from natural materials, adding to the overall biophilic aesthetic. The use of plants within the furniture not only adds a touch of greenery to any space, but also has been shown to improve air quality and mental health. The incorporation of natural materials and plants in the design makes these pieces not only visually pleasing, but also promotes a connection to the natural world. As an architectural designer, we have masterfully blended form and function to create a furniture series that is both stylish and sustainable.Biophilic furniture design with functional planters and natural materials
